From 2002 through 2004, Lavin was Executive Vice President and Managing Director of Marriott International’s Marriott ExecuStay, the company’s corporate housing division. He was an active board member of the Corporate Housing Providers’ Association (CHPA). From 1997 through 2001, Lavin served as Senior Vice President, Franchising, for Marriott’s five limited-service brands. Lavin spearheaded the creation of the company’s newest lodging brand, SpringHill Suites, which has grown to nearly 200 hotels in only seven years. Lavin formerly served at Choice Hotels International in a number of roles from 1984 to 1997. Before joining Choice in 1984, Lavin was Director of Hotel Development Planning for Marriott Corporation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in hotel administration from Cornell University. Lavin is former Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Cornell Hotel Society Foundation, serves on the Advisory Board of the recently created Institute for Hospitality Entrepreneurship at the Cornell Hotel School and is a past President of the Cornell Hotel Society. He served as Executive in Residence at the Cornell Hotel School on 3 occasions. Lavin was part of the Hotel School faculty, teaching “Franchising in the Hospitality Industry” from 2006-2011. In connection with his ownership in the Country Inn lodging segment, Lavin is president of the New England Inns and Resorts Association (NEIRA) and is a past President of the Hanover (NH) Area Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Lee graduated with honors from Washington State University with a B.A. in Hotel and Restaurant Administration Degree, 1984. Paul possesses extensive operational and strategic management experience in the global luxury city, resort and mid-market city hotel markets. He was most recently Senior Vice President and Owners’ Representative for SM Hotels and Conventions Corp in the Philippines leading start- up and efficient operations of existing and pipeline mid-market properties and as Corporate General Manager for the Millennium Hotels and Resorts, North America. Previously as Area Manager for Banyan Tree Resorts China, he operated 6 resorts and opened 2 of a planned 20 projects in predevelopment. He was Chief Operating Officer for Six Senses Resorts & Spas from 2002 to 2005. Paul also served as Vice President Operations with Raffles International. Regional Development Manager, Earlier he was the Regional General Manager for Intercontinental Hotel Group in the Philippines and Hangzhou, China, and at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group.
